Rebellion

Three days into my work week and I'm still not up to speed. If I actually put my head down and focused I'd probably be organized but little things keep getting in the way and distracting me from the work in front of me.

I feel that way on the weight loss front as well. I know what I need to do, I just don't have any get up and go. At least tonight I did an hour of yoga but I have yet to lace up my runners. At first the horrible heat was the factor but now the humidity is gone and I wasn't psyched up to go. It might due to change, I'm not heading out for the usual walk. This time out it's running, could that be freaking me out?

When I'm not focused it stresses me out a bit, which then results in snacking. The weird thing is at my Dad's I didn't snack.

I need to write down some goals, starting small and going forward.

I know I'll get my groove back, I just want it back sooner rather than later.

The picture above it the view from Dad's front door.

In conclusion, I'm not saying I'm giving up or fallen off the wagon. I'm just a little stuck in the mud.

We've all been there. We KNOW what we need to do we just can't seem to get that fire under our butts to do it!
Mondays are always that way for me. I KNOW I have to get back on track, I just don't really want to.
Blah. It's a vicious cycle but we love it. :)

And I know what you mean- I get funks sometimes. re-writing down my goals (however small they may be, really helps!)

I hear ya on the "need to focus"... I've a million little things that need to get done, but somehow I just don't do them, and then am surprised when the end of the day arrives. What do I do all day? I honestly have no idea. Reading and writing blogs, maybe! :)

I've been doing C25K myself for the past 2-3 months. (Yes, I of the "used asthma as an excuse to never run in Gym class" fame!) It's not as horrible as one might think -- the first couple of weeks are more walking than running anyway. Well, for me, it was like walking, and ridiculously slow jogging. Actually, now that I think about it, the first few days *were* kind of bad. But know that improvement is speedy (really!) and the sense of accomplishment afterwards is so great! It's funny, because it's only 30 mins or whatever, but to have actually gone out and ran (even for a bit) feels very uplifting afterwards (after the shower and the big glass of water and standing in front of the fan, that is!)

I'm having troule sticking to the schedule this past month (lots of travel and moving and stuff), but I did the Running Room's 20 minute challenge last week, and if 3 months ago, someone told me that I'd be running for 20 minutes straight *voluntarily*, I'd have probably laughed at their craziness and felt a bit nauseaus at the thought. But ... well, here I am!

Anywho, I'm back on Wednesday next week, so would love to join you on a walk or a walk/run or whatever. Or at least some coffee! ;)
